Nine wonderful years around the sun.

I don’t like surprises. I’m the worst with them, I’ll tell my niece I’ve brought her a birthday present and end up giving it to her straight away. Mitch knows I can’t deal with them, so of course he surprised me anyway.

He organised to borrow our family friends 2017 Ford Mustang for the drive up to our Airbnb on the Sunshine Coast! We drove like a king and queen in the fast laneeee.

Doug the owner of the Airbnb met us at the front gate. There’s always something so nice about meeting the host in person rather than just finding the key under a mat. He showed us around and off he went. Which might I mention, they’re been rated “Super Host’s”.

This is luxury in the Obi Valley. Hidden away somewhere on the 50 acres of the property. It’s obvious a lot of thought went into the layout of this African Paradise. Every little detail and unique touch was noticed.

The first thing we did was change into our soft Sheraton bath robes and slippers!

The fully equipped kitchen is complete with a coffee machine, a water filter and complementary breakfast. A mini bar is also available.

We set up a vegan platter on the deck and watched the sunset with champagne, it got cold real quick so we moved inside by the fire place and got all cosy.

Remembering all the good times we’ve shared, lots of belly laughs and of course we watched videos of our daughter haha.

And I saved the best for last, this stunning claw foot bathtub. Let’s just let this picture speak for itself! This plus Mitty, hot coffee, oreos and bath salts = perfect. We stayed in here for over an hour in the crisp morning.

And for everyone asking, yes this muma finally slept through the night. Clover on the other hand, woke every two hours! Haha poor nanny.

I would recommend to anyone wanting a quite and romantic getaway to stay here. 100% worth it and of course we will be back!
