Koh Samui Madness

A little bit of an oldy but better late than never…IMG_5347
Feeling so spoilt from my lover for my 21st birthday. I was lucky enough to be surprised with an amazing getaway to a secluded island – Koh Samui. Locally known for its honeymooners, this is an island full of natural beauty and charm.

Within moments of arrival, the island had cast a spell on us…

IMG_5256Not wanting to waste a second of our first day, after checking-in to our beachfront resort we hired a scooter and off we went on an adventure. Only taking us a couple of minutes to get the hang of it before we started to feel like hardcore bikers.

Getting lost and not finding our way home wasn’t on the cards but so glad we did. We found this beautiful drop off, and it was paradise. We couldn’t resist going for a swim even though we had no towel nor swimmers with us haha.IMG_5295

RISE & SHINE: EASTERN SIDE

Our daily morning routine consisted of a quick dip in the ocean before eating like animals at the breakfast buffet. Discovering what Samui has to offer as we are off to explore the eastern side/main land.IMG_1329

IMG_5376The afternoon hit pretty quickly so we begin our journey back home.

Feeling tired after such a big day we decided to relax by the pool drinking cocktails while listening to the dj play some beats. After a few to many drinks I got sucked into receiving a pedicure on the beach from one of the locals walking by.IMG_5392

 RISE & SHINE: BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

Beautiful sunny morning waking up to the sound of my lovers voice, wishing me happy birthday with lots of hugs and kisses and that he’s organised a full body massage and a facial for me this afternoon before our romantic dinner on a pier.

Feeling so spoilt and special on this day and its only just begun!DCIM100GOPRO

IMG_5723After our A M A Z I N G four course dinner we partied all night at Ark Bar which is located at Chaweng Beach – known around the world for it’s live music and dancers, fire shows and the never ending alcohol list/vodka buckets.

The entire beach was filled with young party goers. The atmosphere was incredible and we felt like we were on set for a movie.IMG_5561

 RISE & SHINE: WESTERN SIDE

A little bit of a chill out day due to our hangover from the night before, having fun exploring the western side with the local dingo pup then ending it with a sunset dinner and swim.IMG_5427

RISE & SHINE: ANGTHONG NATIONAL PARK

We arrived via charter boat which took about two hours. Tanning on the top deck and eating lunch that was included in our tour which was awesome because they catered for vegetarians.

One of highlights of the day was witnessing a school of pink dolphins swimming by. Not even kidding, there is actually such thing as pink dolphins!IMG_5811

It really is impossible to hate this place. We fell in love. We fell in love with absolutely everything Samui had to offer!!

The sandy coral reef beaches, the breathtaking lush jungles, the traditional spicy food, the culture and the beautiful people, the steamy hot weather, the alleyways of endless shopping markets and did I mention the food? Without a doubt every restaurant we ate at, vegetarian spring rolls were on the order. Totally obsessed and I give this holiday a 10/10!

Koh Samui will definitely be seeing me again in the near future.

We made a blog with some of our video clips, you can watch it here.

Much love, K x
